About
About / Perfect Company Gallery
Art is record, inheritance, and proof of presence.
Perfect Company Art Gallery is a contemporary gallery and public-facing art initiative of The Wal-King Arts Foundation, based in Houston, Texas. Our work is grounded in the belief that artists deserve more than visibility alone: their practice also needs knowledge, resources, thoughtful presentation, and paths toward sustainable opportunity.
Our point of view
A broader definition of refined art
The Wal-King Arts Foundation advances a broader definition of refined art—one that recognizes craft, labor, and cultural intelligence as central rather than peripheral. Through education and access, we elevate the artistic foundations that quietly shape communities, traditions, and collective memory.
What the gallery does
Exhibit. Publish. Empower.
The gallery is conceived as a meeting place for artists, audiences, and collectors. Through curated presentation, exhibitions, conversations, and future editions, we aim to connect artistic work to people who will value it, while keeping the story of its making close to the work itself.
Our commitment
Visibility, sustainability, autonomy, and access
Our focus centers Black artistic practice and the creative knowledge that supports it. We value independent artistic voices, transparent collaboration, practical professional education, and access to the tools that help a practice continue long after an exhibition closes.
The relationship
One foundation. Two connected ways of working.
Perfect Company Art Gallery is the gallery-facing expression of The Wal-King Arts Foundation. The foundation's wider work includes artist development, cultural documentation, education, and community engagement; the gallery creates a public space in which audiences can encounter, discuss, and eventually collect work.
